In 2003 me and a few of my friends took a United Airlines flight to the Middle East and were asked by George W. Bush to invade Iraq and overthrow a dictator. My friends and I happend to be US Marines. Politicks and personal views aside, this is a documentary that my friend David Baummer videotaped and we produced and edited from our barracks room following our return to Camp LeJeune. We were both corporals with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance battalion and this is our story. The narrative is a little choppy. We were at war after all and only had one video camera, so telling a coherent story was a little tough. I hope you enjoy the overall vibe and can appreciate our situation. Speaking only for myself, I never intended to be serving in the Marine Corps during wartime. I enlisted in 1999 and got out in 2004. I did the best I could. I'd also like to confess that I used some music without permission and would like to apologize for that. This is a non-commercial project and if ! you're the copyright owner, please pardon my usage. I don't have the source material anymore, so it's impossible to remove anything individually, but if you'd like me to remove the entire video from YouTube then I will. Artists used were The Causey Way, Bjork, Death of Marat, Elliott Smith, Helms, The Jealous Sound, John Vanderslice, The Blood Brothers, Jets to Brazil, and Joy Division. Thank you for watching, Brian McKinney
